Community Guidelines & LIVE Rules
Last updated: September 16, 2026 • These rules apply to everyone on Nepchat, on the website and in the app.
1. The rules for everyone
Adults host LIVE
Only people aged 18 or older may host or co-host a LIVE. Nepchat accounts are for people aged 13+; anyone under 18 must not appear alone on a LIVE.
No nudity or sexual content
No nudity, sexual acts, sexual services, or sexually suggestive content — in LIVE, reels, posts, stories, messages or profile pictures. Anything sexual involving a minor is reported to the authorities.
No violence, threats or dangerous acts
No graphic violence, threats, incitement, weapons used to intimidate, self-harm or suicide content, or dangerous challenges.
No hate or harassment
No attacks on people for their ethnicity, caste, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality. No bullying, doxxing, blackmail or coordinated harassment.
Nothing illegal
No drugs, gambling promotion, weapons sales, counterfeit goods, fraud, money laundering or other illegal activity.
No scams or fake engagement
No fake giveaways, phishing, impersonation, coin or gift manipulation, bot views or buying/selling accounts. Coins bought through the app are for gifting only.
Respect privacy and consent
Do not record or stream people without their consent, share private information, or film in private spaces such as bathrooms and changing rooms.
Original content
Only upload content you made or have the right to use. Copyright strikes apply to music, films and other people's videos.
2. LIVE rules (what every host agrees to)
Before the first LIVE — and again whenever these rules change — the host confirms they are 18+ and accepts the following. There is no follower requirement: LIVE is open to every adult account in good standing.
18+ only
You are at least 18 years old. Nobody under 18 may host, co-host or appear alone on a LIVE.
No nudity or sexual content
No nudity, sexual acts, sexual services or sexually suggestive behaviour — clothed or implied. This includes the background and other people on camera.
No violence or threats
No violence, threats, weapons shown as a threat, self-harm, dangerous stunts or content that could hurt someone.
No hate or harassment
No harassment, bullying, hate speech, slurs or humiliation of anyone — on camera or in the chat you moderate.
Nothing illegal
No drugs, gambling, scams, counterfeit goods or anything that breaks the law in Nepal or where you stream from.
Respect privacy
Do not film people without consent, share personal data, or stream in places where people expect privacy.
Enforcement
Nepchat can end any LIVE at once. Violations lead to strikes: 2 active strikes limit LIVE and gifts, 3 suspend monetization and freeze payouts. Nudity, violence or minors on stream can mean an immediate permanent ban.
Hosts are responsible for everyone on their stream, including guests they invite on stage, and for the chat: use the blocked-words list and remove guests who break the rules.
3. How the rules are enforced
Strike
A violation gives the account a strike (1–3 points, active for 90 days). A LIVE that breaks the rules is ended immediately.
2 active points — limited
LIVE is switched off and gifts may be limited until the strikes expire or an appeal succeeds.
3 active points — suspended
No LIVE, no gifts, no withdrawals. Repeated or severe violations lead to a permanent ban.
Immediate permanent ban, with no strike ladder: nudity or sexual content, sexual content involving minors, real violence, threats to life, and fraud with coins or payouts. Unlawful content is reported to the police in Nepal and to relevant authorities.
4. Reporting
Every LIVE, post, reel, comment, message and profile has a Report button. Reports are reviewed by our moderators; LIVE reports are treated as urgent. You can also block any user from their profile. For anything involving a child, use the Child Safety page.
5. Appeals & contact
Strikes can be appealed from Creator Hub → Help → Appeal a strike or by e-mail to nepchatofficial@gmail.com. See also our Privacy Policy and Child Safety Standards.
